In order to deal with overtourism, we should introduce an entry tax, collecting a certain sum of money from foreign tourists coming to Japan. I have two reasons. First, relatively rich people, who don’t hesitate to pay the tax, are in general more polite and well-mannered, so such people are less likely to annoy local residents. Second, we can use the money collected from foreign tourists to solve some problems caused by overtourism, such as traffic violations and disposal problems. (80 words)
