(1)　It seems to me that people’s lifestyles have been really changing.　It was often said that young people in many different Asian countries had come to enjoy similar TV programs, movies, novels, and music since around 1990.　This kind of situation would have been unimaginable before.

(日本文：ライフスタイルが本当に変わってきていると思います。1990年頃からでしょうか，アジアの多くの国で，若者が同じようなテレビや映画を見て，同じような小説を読み，同じような音楽を聴くようになっていると話題になりました。それ以前には考えられない時代だったのです。)

(2)　When I give lectures to students around the world, I feel that their thoughts and interests are not so different from country to country.　They are interested in, impressed with, and angry about similar things.

(日本文：僕が世界の国々で講演をしていても，学生の態度や関心は，あまり違わなくなってきていると感じます。興味を持つもの，感動するもの，腹の立つもの，これらの多くをみんなが共有しています。)

(3)　Some people criticize this as lack of variation, but I think it is a good age in that people around the world have become able to communicate without any trouble.
